Gilles Tran is a contemporary French 3D artist mostly known for his surrealist images rendered in POV-Ray. Most notable is his web site project The Book of Beginnings with surrealist images accompanied with pieces of unfinished text.

Like many artist these days, Gilles Tran has an extensive online website of his portfolio filled with digital artwork from over the years, however, his site also has another mission.
OYONALE is dedicated to digital art, mainly focusing on work that has been created with 3D rendering software, such as POV-Ray, Cinema 4D, FinalRender and Poser. Tran, generously, adds many photos and examples of his work, different image and text generators, and dozens of free 3D models among many other things for all to enjoy.

The one thing that totally caught my attention (besides Tran’s work of course), was a 360 degree spherical panorama preview of one of his pieces from his “Mainstreet (East)” series from his body of work in 2003.
